About Our Type 2 EV Charging Cables
All EV-LEK charging cables use the Type 2 (Mennekes) connector standard — the universal standard for AC charging across the UK and Europe. Whether you drive an Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Tesla or any other electric or plug-in hybrid, our cables are fully compatible with your vehicle's charge port.
Single phase cables charge at up to 7.4kW — suitable for all standard home wallboxes and most public charge points. Three phase cables support up to 22kW and are only needed if your wallbox and EV both support three-phase charging. If you're unsure, single phase is the right choice for home use.
A 5m cable suits most home setups where the wallbox is close to your parking space. A 10m cable gives extra flexibility if your car parks away from the charger or you charge in different places.
Every cable is CE certified and IP55 weatherproof — rated for dust, rain and temperatures from -30°C to +60°C, tested to IEC 62196-2, with a 5-year warranty.
